xThe 3rd generation Elma ATCA Shelf Manager incorporates bussed IPMB signals. Dual SHMMs can be plugged into slot 0 of an Elma chassis, without taking up any of the 14-slots.

- Provide E-Keying management for ATCA systems
- Provides 10/100 Mbit Ethernet (RJ45) and RJ45 serial port
- Real-time clock to time-stamp System Event Log entries, backed by on- board battery
- Supports dual redundant IPMBs
- The new ShMM-700 carrier features an unmanaged Ethernet switch which makes one of the two ShMM-700’s Ethernet ports available to both the front plate and the backplane at the same time
